  We are building a set of media properties that Chinese urban consumers and leading advertisers trust. We then deliver and monetize this media via cross-promoted websites, events, mobile content, consumer services, and TV programming.

A mix between Consumer Reports and HGTV.com, Chinadeco features China’s best database of interior design ideas, China’s first independent testing of building materials, extensive video segments about how to manage the renovation process, and a one-stop listing of all current discounts at major stores and contractors. We also organize useful events, provide mobile services, and develop related TV shows.

Inspired by the success of independent media such as Petersons.com and The Princeton Review, 6xue de-mystifies the process and provides honest, trusted advice. The site includes extensive databases of local service providers, advice about how to plan the perfect wedding, and a large set of useful tools for couples and their families. 我要婚纱照我要婚纱照 (www.51hunshazhao.com)is an innovative vertical search engine that helps Chinese consumers quickly find their favorite styles of wedding photography. Wedding photos are frequently the largest expense in a couple’s wedding, so the site also offers special discounts from leading providers.
亲子关系网亲子关系网 (www.qinziguanxi.com)gives Chinese parents a place to share opinions about the best books and DVDs for their kids, and helps them connect their one-child families with others for weekend activities.
We will shortly be launching additional properties, all built on the same “platform” of world-class technology, marketing tools, administration approaches and regulatory approvals.
Why we do it
  As China continues to develop rapidly, Chinese consumers are improving their lives by purchasing many goods and services. Some of these purchases are quite expensive or especially important, such as organizing a wedding, renovating a home or sending a child overseas to study. To make the best possible purchase decisions, Chinese consumers need honest, independent, and trusted information about “how” to buy something, “what” to buy, and “where” to buy it. That is what we provide.

  At the same time, companies that sell goods and services to Chinese consumers are searching for more cost-effective ways to advertise. Media sales in China are notoriously corrupt, with very little measurement. Leading advertisers, used to effective international approaches, are reluctant to advertise on line, even though online media is consistently preferred by Chinese consumers. Advertisers want clear standards and audits, with service from sales teams who understand their needs. That is what we provide.
Who we are
  We were co-founded by Tom Melcher and Anne Stevenson-Yang in late 2005. Tom is an accomplished internet entrepreneur from Silicon Valley, and Anne is a well-known expert on business in China. Since then, the company has attracted a growing number of high-quality Chinese team members, and has built an impressive roster of international investors and advisors.
